We are thrilled to announce that Envisio has been recognized as a GovTech 100 company for a second consecutive year by Government Technology.
The 2026 GovTech 100 highlights the top 100 companies currently empowering state and local governments with innovative technology solutions. It is an honor to be included, and a testament to the trust and partnerships we’ve built with our government customers over the last decade.
As we celebrate this recognition, we are looking back at a record-breaking year of growth and looking forward to new innovations. Here is an overview of some of the momentum driving us into 2026.
Customer Success: Gold Standard Achievement, What Works Cities
Our momentum is fueled by the success of our local government customers and partners.
We are incredibly proud to congratulate the cities of Philadelphia, PA and Irving, TX for achieving What Works Cities Gold level certifications!
These cities exemplify what it means to focus on positive, sustainable outcomes and greater transparency for their communities.
Seeing our partners recognized for their data-driven decision-making inspires our work every day.
Celebrating Envisio Projects’ Anniversary and Impact
November 2025 marked the anniversary of the launch of our suite of powerful public sector project management tools: Envisio Projects.

In the two years since launch, we have seen Envisio Projects gain rapid momentum.
It now powers over 3,000 public sector projects, including large-scale capital improvement work, parks & recreation projects, housing initiatives, community events, economic development, and a whole lot more.
What has always set Envisio Projects apart from other project management tools is:
- The ability to align projects with strategic goals. Projects can roll all the way into strategic initiatives for reporting and impact tracking, where appropriate.
- Project transparency by way of map-based projects dashboards.
- The tools to manage big, multi-year projects that transform communities.
Some of the most beautiful, informative and impactful projects-based Envisio dashboards were launched in 2025. Residents in those communities are able to view local projects underway in their own neighborhoods, track progress, budget, and outcomes.
As we celebrate this anniversary, we remain focused on helping teams stay organized, focused on execution and providing visibility into complex government initiatives.
Growing our Library of Dashboards
Trust built from transparency remains at the core of our mission. Our gallery of Envisio-powered public-facing dashboards continues to grow rapidly, now showcasing not just government strategic plans, but life-changing work in many areas–from new housing strategies to sustainability work, transit plans to public safety.
These dashboards allow local governments to share progress with residents effectively, ensuring that funded plans translate into demonstrated community outcomes.
And now other governments can get inspired and learn from their neighbors by visiting our Inspiration Gallery of top local government dashboards.
Peer Learning With The Envisio Academy and Regional Summits
Two-thirds of our Envisionary customers regularly use the Envisio Academy as a source of education for their teams. Over the last 12 months, we have continued to expand this leading resource, with more learning opportunities in:
- Effective operational planning
- Performance measures development and management
- Culture change around transparency and data-driven decisions
- Appropriate reporting frameworks
- Compelling dashboard design
- Data storytelling
- Aligning budget and strategy
Our user group program grew significantly, expanding into dedicated groups for libraries, school districts, and department-specific peer learning.
In addition, we launched our regional summits for local government organizations (customers and non-customers alike) to network in person and share best practices around strategy and performance management. Regional summits were held in Texas and California, with many more to come in 2026.
What sets the Envisio community apart is the level of experience, collaboration, and care they bring to solving real problems.
Mission-Driven Research
In 2025, we spent more time than ever before on stage at local government conferences supporting our customers in sharing their success stories and lessons learned.
We also had many opportunities to facilitate and lead sessions around our research on trust in local government and the areas where we provide expertise in rethinking budgeting.
Meet the Expanded “Strategy Squad”
Finally, we have some fun news from the team. You may already know Budgeting Bear, our mascot dedicated to aligning budgets with strategy, who burst onto the ICMA Conference scene in 2024.
To help him out, we are expanding the Strategy Squad! Please welcome…

Data Wolf: Awooooo! Data Wolf spends his nights hunting for patterns in the stars. This rare Canadian species is known for tracking down elusive data points and turning them into insight. Trained in performance measurement at the Great Northern Institute of Metrics & Measurement, he hosts The Data Den, where complex indicators get unpacked and data tells a clearer story.
Data Wolf is also very elusive, with only a few appearances per year. For anyone collecting the entire squad, Data Wolf is often the missing piece. But don’t worry, he is expanding squad duties over the next 12 months!
Planning and Performance Pig: This little Type-A Diva joined our Strategy Squad because of her incredible work in planning and performance measurement.
Ever-prepared for a presentation, she brings an organized energy to our Strategy Squad.
A graduate from Hogvard University, she won an award for her clarifying “From Mud to Metrics” thesis. She joined Envisio because she loves helping forward-thinking local governments move their plans into action through careful progress tracking.

Along with Budgeting Bear, this crew is here to make it easier—and more fun—for organizations to bridge the gap between planning and execution.
Look out for a new member of the squad in 2026!

Looking Ahead
We have always been a mission-driven company exclusively focused on the public sector. As we enter 2026 with this GovTech 100 honor, we remain committed to providing the clarity and tools you need to drive meaningful change in your communities.
