Mike Sable, City of Maplewood

Mike Sable is Assistant City Manager for the City of Maplewood, bringing with him 20 years of local government management experience. He’s also an adjunct faculty member at the University of Virginia, Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service, and managing partner for The Work of Leadership, helping local governments proactively respond to the changing demands of the twenty-first century. Mike previously worked for Hennepin County, managing a department staff of 270 with a combined operating and capital budget of $180m. He’s also worked for the cities of Brooklyn Park and Cedar Rapids as Assistant City Manager.

Mike Funk, City of Minnetonka

Mike Funk was appointed Assistant City Manager/Director of Administrative Services for the City of Minnetonka, MN in September 2019. Mike has more than 24 years of city administration experience having worked in urban, suburban, and rural communities. Prior to joining the City of Minnetonka, Mike served as the Assistant City Manager/HR Director for the City of Maplewood, MN and City Administrator for the communities of Minnetrista, MN; Olivia, MN; and Gibbon, NE. Mike is a Credentialed Manager as recognized by the International City/County Management Association.
