Pioneering Public Sector Transformation: Envisio Named to the GovTech 100 for 2025

Envisio Govtech 100 2025 announcement

We’re thrilled to announce that Envisio has been recognized as a GovTech 100 company for 2025 by Government Technology.

This prestigious honor highlights the top 100 companies dedicated to empowering state and local governments with innovative technology solutions.

“For the last decade, the GovTech 100 has been a cornerstone for curating companies focused on state and local government as their primary customer,” said e.Republic President Dustin Haisler. “It has become a platform for validating the incredible innovation in this market – from early-stage startups to publicly traded enterprises. With the rise of exponential technologies and evolving behaviors, the market activity, in many ways, feels like it’s just heating up.”

Each year, the GovTech 100 list shines a spotlight on organizations that are making significant strides in modernizing and transforming public sector services. It’s a diverse collection of companies, from startups to long-established organizations, all committed to delivering impactful technology solutions to state and local governments.
Our inclusion in the GovTech 100 is a reflection of the trust and partnership we’ve built with our government customers. We share this recognition with the incredible local government organizations we serve, whose dedication to creating better communities inspires us every day.

According to Craig Ross, Chief Executive Officer, this announcement comes at a time of continued momentum for Envisio as more public sector organizations partner with Envisio:

“It is a pleasure and honor to be named a 2025 GovTech 100 company. As local governments in the US and Canada increasingly focus on achieving positive, sustainable outcomes and greater transparency for their communities, we are thrilled to partner with so many of them on this journey. In 2024, Envisio saw 50% year-over-year revenue growth and we now serve over 25 million residents.” – Craig Ross, CEO, Envisio

Here are just a few of our highlights from the past year:

Partnership with Tyler Technologies: A game-changer for local government budgeting

2024 was a year where innovative thinking around local government budgeting came to the fore. Envisio teamed up with Tyler Technologies to align priority-based budgeting (PBB), with strategy execution, and performance management, and transparency of outcomes.

This collaboration looks to provide the technology stack to support local governments in achieving the Government Finance Officers Association’s (GFOA) Rethinking Budgeting recommendations.

By aligning Envisio’s performance tools with Tyler’s PBB solution, local governments now have an end-to-end solution to allocate resources, measure outcomes, and share results with residents. Fund the plan—achieve the plan!

Product innovation within the Envisio platform

We made many exciting and innovative changes to the Envisio platform this year. From the introduction of AI to new data integrations, here are a few of our product highlights:

Envisio Workspaces: A personalized hub for strategic execution

The new Envisio Workspace was introduced in 2024 to help public sector teams stay organized and focused on their strategic goals. Designed for personal efficiency, it provides users a clear view of organizational plans, pending updates, and frequently accessed dashboards.

AI Assist: Easy progress reporting and planning

Envisio launched AI Assist in early 2024. This feature leverages artificial intelligence to simplify planning and reporting for public sector organizations. AI Assist streamlines the creation of actionable deliverables, refines progress updates, and ensures reports are complete and clear.

Envisio Projects: More visibility and integration

Envisio’s Projects module keeps getting better. In the last year, we introduced interactive Gantt chart enhancements, an Open API for connecting with budgeting software, and new project summary reports. These features improve collaboration, visibility, and communication for large-scale projects. Tailor-made public sector project management.

Envisio in the community

This year, Envisio hit the road, attending a record-breaking number of events. We connected with public sector leaders to get a greater understanding of the challenges faced in our diverse communities, to share and drive forward some of our mission-driven work, and to open up some of the leading thinking and resources around strategy and performance management.

A few of our top picks from the year:

  • We were proud to sponsor Local Government 2030’s second convening in January. We continue to support the projects that arose from this initiative to find engaging solutions for some of the nation’s biggest challenges.
  • Our very first time attending the California Society of Municipal Finance Officers (CSMFO) annual conference gave us an opportunity to connect with local government finance officers on how we are supporting the GFOA’s Rethinking Budgeting initiative.
  • Transforming Local Government in Tampa was hands down one of our favorite events of the year. With the opportunity to share our research into how local governments can build resident trust AND speaking alongside the City of Denton’s leadership team on leveling up on performance management, this was a wonderful few days talking all things local government innovation.
  • Rethinking Budgeting Readiness Assessment Workshops (Florida and Denver). As the GFOA prepared to update its recommended budget practices to incorporate Rethinking Budgeting principles, we supported the creation of two regional Rethinking Budgeting Readiness Workshops in Denver and Orlando. During these two full days, we worked through the GFOA’s new Readiness Assessment tool with cities and counties to help them assess their current budgeting processes and identify the right place to start when rethinking budgeting.

A Bear-y cute new mascot

We also introduced a new face to the Envisio team: Budgeting Bear, the cutest little know-it-all you’ll ever meet, dedicated to all things outcomes-based budgeting, and aligning budgets with strategy.

With Budgeting Bear by our side, we’ve made it even easier—and more fun—for organizations to rethink budgeting and achieve their goals.
